Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy defines the principles on which Dariusz Kossakowski, conducting business activity under the name of Kancelaria Prawna [Law Firm] dr Dariusz Kossakowski – legal adviser (hereinafter referred to as “the Law Firm”) processes your personal data, as well as the most important rights to which you are entitled, related to the processing of personal data by the Law Firm.
Personal Data Controller
The Personal Data Controller within the meaning of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation), hereinafter referred to as “GDPR” is Dariusz Kossakowski – legal adviser conducting business activity under the name of Kancelaria Prawna [Law Firm] dr Dariusz Kossakowski – legal adviser in Warsaw (00-193) at 2a, ap. 1, Stawki Street (hereinafter referred to as “the Law Firm”).

In the Law Firm, personal data is processed in accordance with GDPR and the Polish regulations, which were issued in connection with the aforementioned regulation, including the Act of 10 May 2018 on the protection of personal data. The Law Firm takes care of the confidentiality of personal data processed by the Law Firm, has introduced appropriate safeguards required by the aforementioned provisions of legal acts, including appropriate technical and organizational measures in order to ensure security and protection of personal data.
Purpose of the processing of personal data and legal basis of the processing
The Law Firm processes personal data when:
a. processing of personal data is necessary to perform the contract to which the data subject is a party, or to take action at the request of the data subject before the conclusion of the contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR);
b. processing of personal data is necessary to handle messages addressed to the Law Firm with the use of the contact form and answering them by the Law Firm (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR);
c. processing is necessary to fulfil the legal obligation of the Personal Data Controller – the Law Firm (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR);
d. processing is necessary for purposes resulting from legally justified interests pursued by the Law Firm (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), and as such, the Law Firm particularly recognizes: IT security related to the website www.kossakowski.pl, provision of services, for statistical and contact purposes;
e. processing is necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims or whenever courts are acting in their judicial capacity (Article 9(2)(f) GDPR);
f. processing is necessary for the recruitment of persons interested in cooperating with the Law Firm or in getting employed in the Law Firm (Article 6(1)(a) and 6(1)(c) of GDPR).
The processing of personal data is based on your voluntary submission of personal data. However, your refusal to provide data or your request to delete them may result in preventing the Law Firm from, for example, contacting you. In contractual relations, the provision of your personal data by you constitutes a requirement for the conclusion and performance of the contract.
Rights relating to the processing of personal data
You have the right to:
a. access the content of your personal data,
b. rectify, delete or limit the processing of your personal data,
c. transfer your personal data,
d. object to the processing of your personal data,
e. withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data
f. file a complaint to the President of the Office for the Protection of Personal Data, if you consider that the processing of your personal data violates the regulations of GDPR.
No profiling
Your personal data will not be processed automatically and will not be profiled.
Retention Period
Your personal data will be retained, until the end of the contract related to the processing of your personal data, for the period necessary to establish, exercise or defence legal claims or until the submission of an objection and until the Law Firm fulfils the legal obligations arising from the provisions of the law.
Recipients of your personal data
The recipients of your personal data may be the following:
- persons authorized by the Law Firm to process your personal data in the scope of performing their official duties,
- lawyers cooperating with the Law Firm, including: legal advisers, attorneys,
- State authorities, courts or other qualified entities based on applicable laws,
- suppliers providing services to the Law Firm (e.g. IT-service providers, entities processing personal data on behalf of the Law Firm on the basis of a personal data processing outsourcing agreement, entities providing accounting services).
Transfer of your personal data outside the European Union
Your personal data is processed in the registered office of the Law Firm and is not transferred to countries outside the European Union.
Updating the Privacy Policy
Any changes to the Privacy Policy, its updates will be published on the website www.kossakowski.pl In connection with the above, it is necessary to regularly follow the Law Firm’s Privacy Policy. You will be informed about the change of the Privacy Policy by means of a window which will appear on the Law Firm’s website. If you do not accept the Law Firm’s Privacy Policy or its changes, you should stop using the Law Firm’s website.
